WATER Lab welcomes PhD Student!

WATER Lab welcomes Mr. Aaron Froilan M. Raganas as a PhD Biology student in the Institute of Biology, UP Diliman. His research focuses on the functional traits of Philippine mangroves and their role in resilience to typhoon disturbance. Through this research, he aims to better understand how mangrove species respond and adapt to typhoons, and ultimately contribute to more effective mangrove conservation, management, and restoration efforts.

Mr. Raganas is also a faculty member at the University of the Philippines Mindanao. His interest in mangroves began in 2018, and he has since worked on mangrove regeneration and zonation patterns, and how these processes shape mangrove communities.

We are happy to welcome you to the WATER Lab, Aaron!
