The WATER Lab (Institute of Biology) and the EnviSAGE Lab (Department of Geodetic Engineering) of UP Diliman are looking for thesis students to engage in cutting-edge interdisciplinary research on seagrass biodiversity and blue carbon!
🌿 Possible thesis topics include:
- Vegetation and sediment characterization
- Biodiversity and seascape ecology
- Blue carbon stocks and flux
- Remote sensing & GIS mapping
📍 Field Sites: Oriental Mindoro & Tawi-Tawi
This research will directly contribute to the Philippines’ commitments under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF) and the UNFCCC on climate change adaptation and mitigation.
