We are proud to share a recent paper co-authored by Dr. Severino Salmo III in Environmental DNA entitled Advancing Environmental DNA Applications in Southeast Asia Through Networking, Adaptable Standard Development, and Capacity Building.
The paper discusses key challenges in the region, including limited resources, lack of standardized protocols, and the need to strengthen training and bioinformatics capacity. It also highlights the importance of regional collaboration and locally adapted approaches to maximize the use of eDNA for biodiversity conservation and ecological research.
