Analyzed through GIS technology, this sample Mangrove Restoration Suitability Map identifies proposed restoration sites in Barangay San Isidro, Prieto Diaz in Sorsogon, based on criteria such as elevation, slope, proximity to mangroves, rivers, and urban areas. The color gradient on the map signifies suitability, underlining the importance of these sites in preserving biodiversity and enhancing carbon stock. To gain hands-on experience in priority area selection, stakeholders are cordially invited to our upcoming event. Join us in our commitment to sustainable environmental stewardship.

The difference in number of reported mangrove species for each province in the Philippines according to Mangrove Summit Proceedings vs. published studies from Scopus and Web of Science database are shown in the maps above. According to the data gathered, the Mangrove Summit Proceedings reported higher number of species but had less number of provinces that have data compared to published studies from the mentioned databases. This implies that there is a lack of baseline data available for each province in the Philippines, hence the need for consistent monitoring and reporting of data.
