We are pleased to share that our PhD student and member of our team, Ms. Alessandra Morado, has been awarded funding under the Marine Conservation Action Fund (MCAF) of the New England Aquarium.
The project forms part of her PhD research, which focuses on understanding the implications of mangrove restoration practices on seagrass health, biodiversity, and blue carbon. The study will be conducted in Mindoro, Philippines, and will involve ecological surveys in collaboration with local communities. The findings aim to provide scientific basis for more ecologically appropriate mangrove restoration practices and strengthen landscape-scale coastal conservation efforts.
