We are pleased to report that members of the Blue CAP study presented their results to the representatives from DA-BFAR and DENR today. Ms. Agnes Balota and Dr. Jingjie Chu (remote) were also present in the meeting. Valuable insights into the ecological and carbon sequestration potential of coastal ecosystems in FMA 6 and 9 were highlighted. There were engaging discussions on the ways forward for Philippine blue carbon. We are optimistic that the study fulfilled its goals in support of the ongoing efforts to integrate blue carbon into fisheries and environmental management strategies.
