Dr. Severino Salmo III, Associate Professor VII, of the Institute of Biology was appointed as UP Scientist I under the ๐๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฆ, ๐๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐.
Dr. Salmo’s research focuses on restoration ecology, integrated coastal management, mangrove ecology, and blue carbon. His studies on mangrove ecology and blue carbon made and will continue to contribute to advancing our knowledge of Philippine mangroves and advising science-based mangrove conservation and restoration policies.
