PEER-funded student joins the PEER ManCoRe team

Precious Jacob, a former thesis advisee of Dr. Severino Salmo III, has joined the PEER ManCoRe team as a Laboratory/Field Assistant after finishing her undergraduate studies at UP Diliman. As an undergraduate student, Ms. Jacob worked closely with the team in the conduct of her PEER-funded thesis, titled “Litter Dynamics of Naturally Colonized Mangrove Forests in Abandoned Aquaculture Ponds in Southern Oriental Mindoro, Philippines.” Prior to joining the team, Ms. Jacob was able to present the results of her thesis at the 6th Mangroves Macrobenthos and Management Conference (MMM6) in Cartagena, Colombia and at the 31st Philippine Biodiversity Symposium in Sorsogon City, Philippines.
