Andre Jacques Fallaria, under the guidance of Dr. Severino Salmo III and Dr. Leilani Dacones, wins first place at the Best Undergraduate Thesis Competition of the Institute of Biology, UP Diliman with his thesis, titled “Unveiling a hidden world: The assemblage and diversity of epiphytic lichens in different mangrove habitats of Oriental Mindoro, Philippines.”
Mr. Fallaria also presented his study at the 6th Mangrove Macrobenthos and Management Conference (MMM6) in held in Cartagena, Colombia last July 24-28, 2023. Mr. Fallaria’s thesis was funded by the PEER ManCoRe project.
