At least eight Philippine delegates attended the 6th Mangrove Macrobenthos Meeting held from July 24-28, 2023 in Cartagena, Colombia. Six of the delegates are presenting various research covered by the PEER ManCoRe project, with one from undergraduate student Andre Jacques Fallaria giving an oral presentation. Others who presented posters for the event were as follows: Dr. Severino Salmo III (on Philippine blue carbon studies), Maria Elisa Gerona-Daga (on photosynthetic characteristics of seedlings in Ormoc Bay, Leyte), Camila Frances Naputo (on eDNA metabarcoding of mangrove water samples in two bioregions), Precious Jacob (litterfall analysis of different stand types in Oriental Mindoro mangroves), and Jalyssa Fermo (mollusk assemblages of different stand types in Oriental Mindoro).
